Information Technology (IT) Coordinator

The Township of East Zorra-Tavistock is seeking application for a full time Information Technology (IT) Coordinator. This is a newly created position to support all departments. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Manages the daily operation of Information Technology (IT) support for all Township office, Council, staff, and facilities
• Install, maintain, and support servers, workstations, telephony, and copiers

Requirements:

• Post secondary education in Computer Science
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in IT systems administration with experience in network and security operations, preferable in a municipal setting. 
• Industry standard certifications considered an asset

This is a regular full-time position, 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm, and includes a comprehensive benefits package and OMERS Pension Plan. The 2026 salary range is $44.67-$52.56 per hour.

Summer Student - Public Works Department 

The Township is accepting applications for one (1) Summer Student position in the Public Works Department.

Responsibilities:

• Painting, cleaning, and maintenance of public works equipment 
• Roadside/Parks grass cutting
• Assisting with various public works maintenance activities
• Parks facilities/washroom inspection and cleaning
• Traffic control person
• Assist road employees with construction work

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a post secondary education program and returning to school in September 2026
• A Class G2 drivers license
• The ability to apply good safe work practices
• The ability to work in a construction type environment
• Experience with small equipment would be an asset

This job posting is to fill a current vacancy and is a temporary full-time position working 40 hour per week from May 4 to August 27, 2026. The current pay rate for this position is $21.71 per hour.
