Adult Public Skating

Add ice skating to your morning fitness routine! Ice skating offers a low impact aerobic exercise that will work all of your body's muscles.

Please note: No strollers, sticks or pucks are allowed. 
Date/time: Tuesdays from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.

Tot Public Skating

Bring your little ones under 4 years old for skating fun at the arena.

Please note: Helmets are mandatory for children while on the ice. Skating aids are allowed and can be provided at a first come basis. For everyone’s safety, the following are not allowed on the ice:

• Carrying children, including in baby carriers
• Hockey pucks and sticks
• Sleds, strollers, or chairs
• Unapproved skate aids

Date/time: Thursdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Public Skating

Join us for public skating at the Tavistock and District Recreation Centre. Register in person at the area (pending capacity). Helmets are required for skaters 8 years old and under. 

Please note: No strollers, sticks or pucks are allowed.
Date/time: Sundays from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask all skaters to review the following guidelines before participating in public skating:

CSA-approved hockey helmets are strongly recommended for all skaters and are mandatory for children eight years old and under. Children under eight must also be supervised by someone 14 years of age or older.

All skaters must wear skates to be on the ice. Please skate in the same direction as others at a safe and controlled speed. Backward skating is not permitted.

Respect staff at all times, and report any accidents or injuries immediately.
