After undergoing improvements by Oxford County, the Tavistock leaf and yard waste depot located at 18 Hendershot Street will reopen on Monday  December 6, 2021. The project included a new concrete pad and blocks, soil remediation and grading. Yard paving and landscaping will be completed in spring 2022 when the weather warms up. The depot is open 24/7. The temporary depot located at 381 William Street will close as of December 6, 2021.

Canada Day Closure Notice

The Township Administration Building will be closed on Wednesday July 1, 2026. The office will re-open on Thursday July 2, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. for regular business hours.

The Tavistock Memorial Hall will remain open as a cooling center from 7:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. on July 1, 2026.

The Tavistock Memorial Hall (3 Adam Street, Tavistock) will be open as a cooling centre on July 1, 2026 from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Environment Canada is forecasting a multi-day heat event starting Tuesday, June 30th and continuing into Friday, July 3rd.
