Catch up with what happened at last weeks East Zorra-Tavistock Council Meeting with a quick read of the meeting highlights below. 

During the Meeting

• The Court of Revision for the McLean Drain 2023 was held. No appeals were filed, and the assessments were sustained. 
• Council accepted the bid from Openspace Solutions Inc. for the design, construction, and installation of the Tavistock Spray Pad in the amount of $248,900. Construction is to commence this fall, following the Fall Fair. 
• A speed radar trailer purchased by Public Works will arrive in the next 4 - 5 weeks, and will be deployed around the Township. 
• Speed reports for Coleman Street, Holley Avenue, 16th Line at Cassel Sideroad, and Braemar Sideroad were examined and discussed by Council. The data is being shared with OPP, and Council asked Public Works staff to look at some upgraded posted speed signs specifically for the Cassel Sideroad. 

Planning Matters

• Sitting as the Committee of Adjustment and then in public meeting, Council reviewed the Application for Minor Variance #A-5-2023.  65 Young Street.  The decision on the application was deferred until the August 2, 2023 meeting so as to obtain additional information from the applicant.

The next regularly scheduled East Zorra-Tavistock Council Meeting is set for Wednesday August 2 , 2023 at 9:00am.
