Half Load Season

To keep our Township roads in good condition, East Zorra-Tavistock has a reduced load limit in place during the early spring (half-load season), under By-law 2005-046.
Load Restrictions on Township roads are in effect from March 1 and effective until April 30.

As of January 1, 2022 Oxford County will assume ownership of the 16th Line from Oxford Road 4 to Oxford Road 8, and Maplewood Side Road from Oxford Road 59 to Oxford Road 5. This means Oxford County will take responsibility for all road repairs and maintenance, including snow plowing. Please note, your home address will not change. East Zorra-Tavistock will assume ownership of the access road off Oxford Road 2.

Tavistock Yard Waste Depot Reopening

After undergoing improvements by Oxford County, the Tavistock leaf and yard waste depot located at 18 Hendershot Street will reopen on Monday December 6, 2021. The project included a new concrete pad and blocks, soil remediation and grading. Yard paving and landscaping will be completed in spring 2022 when the weather warms up. The depot is open 24/7. The temporary depot located at 381 William Street will close as of December 6, 2021.
2021 Property Assessment Notices

MPAC (Municipal Property Assessment Corporation) is in the process of sending out 2021 Property Assessment Notices.
You may receive a notice if there has been a change to your property data over the year including ownership, legal description or school support, or due to a change in value or classification.
For property owners receiving a notice, the reason for the updated assessment will be printed on your notice and will refer you to the MPAC Notices Information Page.
