Olympic Torch Relay

SPARK THE SPIRIT!! The Olympic Flame is coming to Tavistock Sunday, December 27th. 11:30 - 12:15  CHEER ON THE OLYMPIC FLAME! The torch relay enters the village at 11:45 and proceeds through Tavistock on Woodstock Street. Flags and free hot drinks available along the route. Aerial photo shoot at the five corners - weather permitting. 12:30 - 3:00  FUN & FOOD AT QUEEN'S PARK & ARENA Bring your camera for photos with the torchbearers (12:30 - 1:30 by the arena) Have some olympic fun at Tavistock's version of the olympic games. Participation at the games qualifies you for a draw prize. Plank Walk Sledge Obstacle Course Bean Bag Toss Horse Drawn Wagon Rides through the Park Plunger Toss Mini Golf Softball Toss and More! Games are followed by free public skating. Tired of turkey? There's pork on a bun at the Royal's booth: fries at the Optimist's booth; olympic rings and concessions at the Men's Club arena booth.
