COVID-19 Update – Office Closure
The Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and other health experts, declared a third provincial emergency this afternoon under s 7.0.1 (1) of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMPCA), effective April 7, 2021.
Effective Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., the Ontario government is also issuing a stay-at-home order for 28 days requiring everyone to remain at home with exceptions for essential purposes, such as going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services, or for essential work.

Please be advised that in accordance with the Provincial Stay Home Order, the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock's municipal office will be closed as of Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 12:01 a.m.
Township staff are available to our residents through phone and email. During this time we encourage all residents to go to our website at http://ezt.ca/Contact-us/Staff to access online services and contact information for each department.
During this time all Controlled Burns will be allowed, however they must be confirmed by speaking with a staff member or receiving a confirmation email from staff to ensure that dispatch has been properly notified.
We are not aware of any interruption in the Waste Management schedules at this time but should this situation change we will post updates through the Township social media. If you need to purchase bag tags, they can be purchased online at: Oxford County > Services for You > Waste Management > Garbage Program
