2021 Development Charges Study:
The Development Charges Background Study provides the basis and background required to update the Township’s development charges to accurately reflect the future servicing needs of new development. The analysis assesses the development-related costs associated with Township services.
Council is required under The Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to hold at least one public meeting to allow the public the opportunity to review and provide comments on the 2021 Development Charges Update Study, related staff reports and the proposed development charges by-law.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the public meeting will be held virtually (via ZOOM) on Wednesday February 17, 2021. All interested parties are invited to make representation at the meeting either in writing (preferred) or as a virtual guest (if required) relating to the proposed D.C by-law and background study. All written comments received will be presented to Council for consideration and may be submitted to wjaques@ezt.ca. Comments received will become part of the written agenda.
If you wish to speak at the public meeting, please make also your request to wjaques@ezt.ca. All written comments and requests to participate virtually must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday February 11, 2021 to ensure that your representation is accommodated into the meeting agenda.
To ensure that sufficient information is made available to the public, the background study is being made available online as of Friday, January 15th, 2021.
